Een experiment om nieuwe wegen te vinden om ontwikkelingen voor de GP fokkerij te kunnen versnellen.
Theoloog was de Marconi x Geoloog zoon die nog verrichtingsexamen deed in de periode dat de Gelderse tezamen met de rijpaarden verrichtingsexamen deden. De leider van het verrichtingsexamen dhr Ruiterkamp had aangegeven dat Theoloog van alle hengsten de beste galop had.
Theoloog bleek een ververver van springeigenschappen. Zijn roem was zelfs tot over de grenzen bekend. De Duitsers kwamen hier Theoloog nakomelingen kopen omdat die konden springen.
Wij lopen uit het Theoloog bloed en zijn nakomelingen en hebben op dit moment één hengst die ik voorzichtig de jonge Theoloog noem en dat is de hengst Imposant EM. Het zou verstandig zijn om een aantal Galant nakomelingen met Imposant te dekken om zodoende die Theoloog eigenschappen op te zoeken omdat Galant een Theoloog zoon is en ook heeft laten zien over springeigenschappen te beschikken. Imposant EM komt uit een Elegant merrie, en Elegant is ook weer een Theoloog zoon. Aan vaders kant vinden we bij Imposant EM het Harald bloed. Die is gefokt uit de moederlijn van de volle zus van Theoloog.
Een van de Galant merries die er nog is, is de merrie Elianne, die recentelijk is aangekocht voor het aangespannen rijden. Fokken is dan geen echte optie. De enige mogelijkheid die overblijft is om uit deze merrie een embryo te spoelen en deze in een draagmoeder te zetten.
Om dat te kunnen financieren zoek ik minimaal 10 mensen die dit gezamenlijk met mij willen oppakken. De kosten liggen tussen de 2500 en 5000 Euro. Deze aanpak is ook bedoeld om te kijken of dit werkt. We zien dit veel bij de opfok van hengsten dat mensen gezamenlijk een traject in gaan om op die manier de kosten te delen (maar vaak om dan meer ijzers in het vuur te hebben). Zo zijn er ook eigenaren die een hengst in eigendom delen. Dit zelfde geldt voor merries.

Theoloog was the Marconi x Geoloog son who took a performance test during the period when the Gelders stallion took the performance test together with the riding horses. The leader of the performance test Mr. Ruiterkamp had indicated that Theoloog had the best canter of all stallions.
He eventually turned out to be a Sire of jumping qualities. His fame was known even beyond the borders. The Germans came here to buy Theoloog offspring because they could jump so well.
We are running out of the Theoloog blood and his offspring and currently have one stallion that I carefully call ‘the young Theoloog’ and that is his grandson, the approved stallion Imposant EM. It would be wise to cover a number of Galant offspring with Imposant in order to bring those Theoloog traits out with line breeding. Galant is a Theoloog son and has also shown to have jumping qualities. Imposant EM comes from an Elegant mare, and Elegant is also a Theoloog son. On the father's side of Imposant his pedigree we find the Harald blood. He was bred from the maternal line of the full sister of Theoloog.
One of the Galant mares that is still alive is the mare Elianne, who was recently bought for driving. Breeding is not a real option for her owners. The only option that remains is to flush an embryo from this mare and place it in a surrogate mother.
In order to finance this project, I am looking for at least 10 people who want to take this up together with me. The costs will be between 2500 and 5000 Euro. This approach is intended as a trial to see if this works. We see this a lot in the raising of stallion prospects, that people work together in a process to share the costs in this way (also to have more options for the future). In the same philosophy, there are also owners who share the ownership of a stallion or really good mare.
